First render in Blender Cycles, woohoo!! :dance:

I was just clicking random buttons to be honest... lol, but the result is decent enough! =p
Thanks a lot to ~Vonman for the nodes tutorials. You're the man, Von! :highfive:

Then I added some things and more things until there was no more room, hehe. Who said less is more, lol. :lmao:

This SOOO reminds me of Bayonetta! The creator of DMC put SO much of DMC into his other game Bayonetta if you know what I mean. Fun fact: The creator said that Bayonetta could kill Dante. I'm not surprised either. Bayonetta is half Angel half Devil with a multitude of powers and can summon demons. How could Dante compete with that?

I was on another website a while ago, and one user wrote how excited he (or she, no idea) was about the demo. You should have seen some of the replies that person got. :O_o:

I mean, I can totally understand that you don't like something and are angry about things not going your way, but that doesn't mean it's okay to tell people who DO like it that they are *insert foul word or any disease here*.

That being said, I prefer classic Dante's look (although this new one isn't so bad, definitely worth rendering if you ask me *wink*). I don't know about personality, since I haven't even played the DmC demo yet. I can't say anything about gameplay etc. for this same reason. But I will play it when I get the chance, sure.

Yeah I can imagine what they said :roll:

I can understand it too, but these guys don't want to give the game a chance. It isn't out yet, and their story questions will be answered once it is out.

Also, I think the gameplay in this one is much better :) I played the demo, and I am fairly impressed. I's much faster,and there's more enemies, unlike DMC4. Now it does take a bit getting used to, but I find it more satisfying so far.

I render on my laptop, it's nothing special either to be honest. =p
You could try to render just one model, and see if it's possible. With Cycles, you get an image right away, but it's really grainy. So you got to wait till it renders more and more samples, so that the image becomes sharp. You can see all of that happening, in real time, pretty cool. :D
If your current system can handle the internal engine with raytraced ambient occlusion, I'm sure it can handle this as well. You just need some patience, I guess. =p

Hehe well, I tried using Cycles using Vonman's tutorial and even at lower resolutions Blender just crashes on me. :( I think for now I'll stick with Keyshot, but I dunno how to manipulate light settings on it yet. ;)

If you want to port some scenery and props, let me know and I can help you with it. I found some interesting things, like NPC's and a spray can (for Kat). Just tell me. :)

Oh I have NPC and some objects already :D I also want to release Kat's ones, but first I need to share the fully rigged Kat model (hope that Crofty will send her back to me soon <3).
I think I will definitely need your help for the scenaries though, since I totally hate UE meshes and I can't stand when they don't show me the proper names XD

Oh don't tell me!! My main pc was gonna die as well so I had to bring it to my technician's shop yesterday >_> at least I have all my models files saved somewhere else and the laptop I purchased this summer is decent enough to play games and make XNA convertions >_<

Yeah, the worst part is that you need to figure out which texture goes where, and there are a LOT of textures, lol... :frustrated:
Btw,the UV's need to be flipped when you export the .obj files from Noesis.

You dont need to flip the uvs when You tick "flip uv" before exporting from noesis =)

No, because with .psk all the meshes are merged together in one big one and all double vertices removed. I guess you could split them again, with each part having its own material... but it can take a while. I just loaded the .psk in Noesis and exported it as .obj. =p

They do, but some parts are grouped together. For example you have that building that I used (it's broken), it was one file but it's made out of 4 mesh parts with their own textures. Rebuilding a whole environment with those pieces would be really hard and time consuming. :noes:
You would also need good reference material to know what goes where and which textures to choose for each part... :stare:
